Target Docking Adapter Encoder Switch
Switch that applies power to the target vehicle encoder to complete the Command link between the spacecraft and target. It is provided to link the commands entered into the encoder controller, by the Gemini Spacecraft pilot, to the target vehicle via two completely separate communication channels. The channel initially used is the rf link using the rendezvous radar transmission as a carrier, the link used after the docking maneuver is the hardline umbilical.
